Description
Small silicone cupping cups
Set of 2 identical transparent silicone cupping cups. Packed in a convenient, textile FASCIQ® storage bag. These round cuppings have a diameter of 5.5 cm and are 5.5 cm high. The cups are easy to press to create a vacuum. As a result, they move effortlessly on the skin. Small silicone cupping cups are particularly suitable for cupping smaller areas of the body like:
- Larger hands and feet
- Upper arms
- Forearms
- Elbows
- Back of the neck
- Top of the shoulder
- Knees
- Calves and shins
Tip: apply FASCIQ® Fascia Cream to the cups to make them easier to move around on the skin.
How does cupping therapy work?
Cupping creates a decompression force in the tissues directly beneath the cup (with a compression force created around the rim of the cup). This lifting of the tissues can be another stimulus for the tissues and nervous system. For some people, this is a relaxing way to treat tight or painful areas and static trigger points. It is the opposite of many other forms of manual “gliding” therapy that typically create a compressive force such as massage, the use of IASTM tools or floss bands.
How to effectively use small cups for therapy
- Larger hands and feet: Place the small cup over the desired area on the hand or foot, ensuring a secure fit. Gently press the cup to create a vacuum and allow it to adhere to the skin. Move the cup in circular or linear motions to provide therapeutic suction to the hands or feet.
- Upper arms and forearms: Position the small cup on the upper arm or forearm, applying slight pressure to create suction. Glide the cup along the muscles in smooth motions, covering the desired area. Adjust the pressure according to your comfort level to achieve an effective cupping experience.
- Elbows: Apply the small cup directly over the elbow joint, ensuring a snug fit. Create suction by pressing the cup onto the skin and release any excess air. Maintain a stationary cup or gently move it around the elbow, focusing on areas of tension or discomfort.
- Back of the neck and top of the shoulder: Position the small cup on the targeted area, such as the back of the neck or the top of the shoulder. Press the cup onto the skin to create a vacuum seal. Slowly glide the cup along the neck or shoulder muscles, adjusting the intensity based on your comfort level and the desired therapeutic effect.
- Knees: Place the small cup over the knee joint, ensuring proper adhesion to the skin. Press the cup gently to create suction and secure it in place. Move the cup along the muscles surrounding the knee, applying light to moderate pressure as needed.
- Calves and shins: Apply the small cup to the calf or shin area, ensuring a snug fit. Press the cup onto the skin, creating a vacuum seal. Glide the cup along the muscles in upward or circular motions, targeting specific areas of tension or discomfort.
Remember to consult with a qualified practitioner or therapist to ensure proper technique and application of small cups for cupping therapy. Adjust the suction intensity and duration based on individual comfort and sensitivity.
