The FASCIQ® Large-sized transparent silicone vacuum cup is designed to enhance your cupping therapy sessions. This round cupping cup has a diameter of 7 cm and stands at a height of 8 cm, making it particularly suitable for treating larger body surface areas.
With its easy-to-press design, creating a vacuum within the cup is effortless. This allows for seamless gliding and movement on the skin during treatments. Whether you are a professional therapist or practicing self-care at home, the FASCIQ® Large Cup offers exceptional ease of use.
To further enhance your cupping experience, we recommend applying FASCIQ® Fascia Cream to the cuppings. This creates a smooth surface that facilitates easy movement on the skin, optimising the therapeutic effects of your cupping treatment.
For added convenience, the FASCIQ® Large Cup comes packed in a practical fabric FASCIQ® storage bag. This ensures easy storage and portability, allowing you to take your cupping therapy on the go.
How to use a large cup for cupping treatments
- Select the appropriate cup size: Choose a large cup that is suitable for the area of the body you wish to treat. Larger cups are typically used for broad areas such as the back, thighs, or abdomen.
- Prepare the skin: Ensure the skin is clean and dry before starting the cupping treatment. Applying a thin layer of cream can help the cup glide smoothly over the skin.
- Create suction: Hold the large cup with one hand and place it firmly against the skin. Press down and create a vacuum by squeezing the cup’s sides. The suction should be strong enough to hold the cup in place.
- Placement and movement: Once suction is achieved, you can either leave the cup stationary or move it in different directions. For stationary cupping, allow it to remain in place for 5 to 10 minutes or as advised by a healthcare professional. To perform moving cupping, glide the cup in long strokes or circular motions over the treatment area. Adjust the suction intensity based on your comfort level.
- Monitor the treatment: During the cupping session, regularly check in with the person receiving treatment to ensure their comfort and assess their response to the therapy. If any discomfort or excessive bruising occurs, adjust the cup or remove it if necessary.
- Removal of the cup: To remove the cup, release the suction by gently pressing the skin near the cup’s edge. Lift the cup away from the skin with care to prevent any discomfort.
- Post-treatment care: After cupping treatment, it is common to observe circular marks or “cupping marks” on the skin. These marks are temporary and typically fade within a few days. Apply a soothing cream or oil and stay hydrated.
